The Treasure Coast spans the east coast of Florida roughly from Jupiter to Vero Beach. It derives it's name from a Spanish treasure fleet that was lost during a hurricane in 1715. Their are a lot of great windsurfing spots on the Treasure Coast but this blog focuses mainly on the Indian River from Stuart to Jensen Beach.

Wave Sailing South Jetty
It was awesome! On the way up I called the wind line and it was saying 24 - 27 so I'm thinking 5.2. I arrived around 2 and met Brandon who was rigging a 5.2. So I grab the 92L synchro and head for the beach. At first I was disappointed because the wind backed off some but then it filled in big time. This is the first time I sailed up there fully powered and it was great. About a half dozen times I was able to time my jibes on an approaching wave and the next thing I know I am streaking down a wave face, it was to cool. It was nice to meet up with a fellow windsurfer. Brandon sailed the causeway yesterday and was teaching some folks on his Kona.
